Description:

Explore the grounds and enjoy seeing the plants and birds of the area. There are signs around the area that explain the different plants and animals that might be seen while strolling around the property.

Some of the things you might see during a visit to the Arboretum

  • Spring - Early native woodland plants; flowering spring bulbs; June plant sale.
  • Summer - Native plants in bloom; Water Conservation Garden; Herb Garden; Shade Garden; Butterfly Garden; Open House.
  • Early fall - Fall color -- aspens, maples, oaks and native grasses; Fall Open House.
  • Late fall - Native grasses at their peak; decorative seed heads and fruits.

Notes:

Please note that the Arboretum does not allow pets or smoking on the grounds. Assistance dogs are allowed if leashed.

Snow Schedule:The Arboretum is not open on days when the local school district has declared a snow day. It is always best to call before going out there on any day when it snows.

Guided tours are included in the price of admission.

This is a high-country growing season, therefore, in early spring or late fall, the plants may not be as spectacular as they are during other times of the open season
