Description:
Animals tend to be most active and visitor attendance tends to be lowest early in the morning and just prior to closing. Looking for solitude? Try visiting during the fall. School crowds are nominal and the weather is fabulous! School group visits are popular each morning March through May. This is a great time to visit if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of youngsters exploring their Zoo.
Allow a minimum of 2 hours to enjoy the zoo.
Notes:
Wheelchairs are available, with a $5 rental fee, at the Jungle Market gift shop with an ID deposit. Single and double strollers are available for daily rental.
The zoo is located within walking distance of the 22nd Street bus line. Take bus #7 to Reid Park.
