this is a great zoo. i have gone on many school field trips here with the kids. it's not as big as the Phoenix Zoo, which is great when you have kids. they can walk the entire time and won't be too tired to finish. it is also flat ground, no climbing crazy hills here! you will need to wear sneakers, as the walking paths are dirt and gravel, but strollers still roll quite easily. one heads up though: this is a breeding zoo. if you go during the spring or other animals mating seasons, be sure to look in the enclosures before allowing your kids to look in. it could save you some embarassment of trying to explain what the animals are doing ('giving each each other piggy back rides' is a good one for the really young kids). they now have the aquarium open too. it's a little pricey to visit both the same day, so i would split it into 2 trips.
