Description:
Bring the children and let them be entertained and educated at the same time. This place has so much to offer that it would be hard to capture it all here. Some of the themed areas are:
- Tot Spot - This is a special area so little guests 5-years and younger can enjoy a stimulating and sensory filled environment.
- Fantastic You - Take an "inside look" at the wonders of the human body. Learn how the different parts of your body work together to create Fantastic You!
- Your Town - Be a grown-up for a day and learn how a community functions. Have you ever wanted to be a fireman, a banker, a mechanic, or simply star in your own theater production? Your Town is a place where you can be anything you want to be!
- Hawaiian Rainbows - Learn about what makes living in Hawaii so special. From the plantation days to modern Hawaii, there is a lot to learn and discover.
- Your Rainbow World - Explore a rainbow of cultures, countries and celebrations from beyond our island shores. Take a trip to far away places and experience how life is similar and different in other parts of the world.
- Reading Room - This room has many books that the kids can read on a really big and cozy chair. Great area to unwind a bit.
Your child or children will have a wonderful time exploring each activity and themed activity area. The exhibits are kid friendly and educational at the same time.
Notes:
It is best to leave strollers in the car or not bring them as they will need to be left in the lobby otherwise. Strollers are not allowed in the main exhibit area.
There is a baby and toddler area for the real young kids to play and explore
Make sure to bring a camera with flash to get great shots of the kids as they enjoy all the exhibits.
Parties and special rentals of the facility can be arranged - see website.

Every time we visit relatives in Hawaii we plan a half day or more to visit the Discovery Center. It is great. Kids can use their imaginations and learn about many different things by hands on experience.
